Meet Dr. Jimmy Yun
Dr. Jimmy was raised in the Seattle area and
received his BA at the University of Washington. He ventured
to New York to earn his dental degree at Columbia University
School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Upon graduation, he was
selected to train in a General Practice Residency at Staten
Island University Hospital in New York, where he discovered
his talent and commitment to children’s dental care.
Dedicated to pursuing specialized care for children, he completed
his pediatric dental training at St. Barnabas Hospital in New
York, where he was appointed Chief Resident and presented his
research on mild oral sedation techniques at the American Academy
of Pediatric Dentistry national conference. After attaining
his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, he applied his specialty
skills in treating children in New York and New Jersey until
his love for Seattle brought him back home. Since then, Dr.
Jimmy has been working in private practice here in the Northwest.
When he's not in the office, he likes to relax by spending
time with his wife and dog, Miko. He also enjoys golf and almost
any other sport, and that includes of course, video games. |
Meet Dr. Susan Kim
Dr. Susan grew up in Long Island, New York.
She earned her BA in Psychology and Education at Wellesley College
in Massachusetts. Following graduation, she spent one year teaching
English in a high school in Seoul, Korea. She returned to New York
to attend Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery
where she received her dental degree and met her husband Dr. Jimmy
Yun. Combining her two passions of working with children and practicing
dentistry, she decided to further enrich her education by specializing
in Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia University. There, she gained
valuable experience by treating children with medical challenges,
assisting with clinical Pediatric Dentistry instruction to dental
students, and conducting research on the advancement of digital
radiography. Upon receiving her certificate, she focused on providing
dental care to children in New York and New Jersey until her husband
persuaded her to move to the breathtaking Pacific Northwest. Since then, she has provided dental services to local Native-American children and has also been in private practice. In her leisure time, Dr. Susan enjoys cooking, golf, skiing, playing the violin, and finding good shopping deals. |
